CR Techs Comprehensive Check Over Document

CR Comprehensive Inspection Module #1:

  • Inspect car completely utilizing Callas Rennsport “Check over list” and note all suspect, needed and noticed items. These items will be itemized and given to the customer requesting the CR Check Over Inspection.
  • Check all fluid levels including engine oil level
  • Mechanical check over
  • Safety inspection
  • Manometer test on applicable water cooled engines
  • Engine oil filter inspection
  • Brake fluid condition – how much water intrusion with special tester
  • Check coolant ph level and freezing point
  • Factory options codes listed
  • Check for any open recalls and or campaigns
  • Check for remaining warranty
  • Check engine and gearbox number on earlier cars
  • Documenting the age of the battery
  • Basic charging system test
  • Inspect for any new suspension components
  • Inspect car for engine or gearbox replacement
  • Perform computer interrogation

-Run PIWIS Tester & Document all fault codes

-Check for any Range #2 or #4-6 engine over-revs

-Check POSIP for any occurrences-incident history (If no accidents, these should be all 0’s)

-Check production date of POSIP Control Unit (Compare to vehicle production date)

-Check for any valve train inconsistencies (Deviation, Actual and Nominal)

-Check VIN, Engine & Gearbox numbers – Compare to what’s in PIWIS vehicle data (Not Definitive)

-Check TPMS wheel electronics battery age – Life or battery specification condition

-Divide miles by DME operating hours to get AVG/MPH – should be around 30 AVG/MPH

-Check DME production date-compare to engine

-Perform Callas secondary air injection test on all 993’s

-Check OBD-II monitors for ready status (for recent check engine light reset)

-Use electronic paint thickness gauge for any inconsistencies

 

Final evaluation, Test Drive and Consultation:

Document all results.  Email photos and data to prospective client. Discuss all data with client during a telephone call or in person, in an effort to better assist client to make an educated decision.

Additional Available Modules to Choose From:

  • Engine compression and leak down test

-Ignition coils inspected (Do with the compression and leak down test)

  • 9X6-9X7 Starter battery cables voltage drop test
  • Engine oil pan debris inspection on M9X engines

-M9X Scope cylinder bases for any scoring (with oil pan removed)

  • Engine oil analysis with SPEEDiagnostix
  • Gearbox oil fluid flush and inspection
  • Gearbox oil analysis with SPEEDiagnostix
  • Advanced accident damage inspection

-Check over car extensively for any accident damage and or any repaint work

-Remove taillight and headlight assemblies, remove all front trunk carpeting including spare wheel, remove front cowl area covers and remove all 4 wheel-house liners if applicable, all in an effort to further inspect for any accident or repaint damage.

-Closely inspect all painted surfaces

-Take photos and document any and all abnormalities
