Hi Tony

I’m posting here because I only get a 404 – Page not found error when clicking on the link to the Air cooled 911 Forum. We had a 993 towed in with a broken alternator pulley, the inner half came off in pieces.
It still has the old 72mm pulley.
The Inner spacer and shims are discolored due to heat.
I noticed the fan blade does wobble a little bit when spinning the alt shaft by hand.
I’ve measured 0.1mm shaft run out.
The customer says that another shop replaced the belts a couple of weeks ago.
Is this a common issue with improper belt tension causing the pulley to overheat and bend the alternator shaft?
Thanks
Chris
