CR Engine Rebuild Plan Process
CLIENT TELEPHONE MEETING
Initial meeting with client to determine what clients’ expectations are and explain CR engine rebuild process and procedure (this document), let client know we cannot estimate a complete engine rebuild. 2 hours
PRELIMINARY PROJECT PLAN:
Estimate timeframe and cost: Service Advisor, Foreman and Tony (General layout of project).
CLIENT IN PERSON MEETING:
- Thorough visual inspection with Client and Foreman (in person meeting).
- In person meeting with Client for complete car check-over for cost analysis GUESS
- SA- Check client in swiftly and painlessly
- SA- Prepare Project plan with invoicing/payment dates, contact dates, estimated completion date, present plan to client.
- SA- Request $20k deposit and then maintain $20k retainer amount throughout job
CR PLAN AND TOTAL ESTIMATE
Preparing an estimate based on the CR engine plan: a total cost for the engine rebuild with a possible change in the estimate (estimate addendums), a total timeline with RO breakdown and payment schedule. The client MUST sign documents as to what they can be expecting.
CR CLIENT EXPERIENCE DOCUMENT:
- -Keep client updated on progress, cost and completion time throughout whole job
- -Let client know when cost changes
- -Let client know when completion time changes
- -Follow progress through-out complete engine rebuild
- -Work with sub-vendors, stay apprised of their status and issues
- -Parts department will be tracking parts out with sublet log
- -Assist parts person in choosing proper brands of parts
- -Set meetings with client to update on progress
- -Work with Foreman and Tech through details
- -Work with Foreman on updates as they are needed
- -Prepare and send Invoice to client weekly
- -Gather payments from client weekly
- -Monitor ongoing record of current total cost with assistance of Admin office
- -Monitor completion time, check progress against plan regularly
- -Monitor quality as work progresses
- -Have car completed when agreed to
- -Final cost estimates should not be a shock; client should know what to expect
- -No surprises-keep promises
