CR Techs Cayenne 2003 on Tiptronic Harsh Shifting

 Initial Transmission Adaptation:

1.) Raise the ATF temperature by leaving the vehicle idling or light driving.  Using the PIWIS tester, watch that the ATF temperature is between working temperatures of 66 to 110 degrees C.  Initial learning cannot be performed outside of this range.

**Caution** Do not raise the temperature by stalling the engine.

2.) With stationary vehicle, depress brake pedal and shift to Neutral for at least 3 seconds.  Then, shift from Neutral to Drive for 3 seconds and repeat five times.  Then repeat 5 times in the same manor for Reverse.

3.) With selector lever in Drive, maintain a 25 to 30% throttle opening and drive vehicle till you reach 6th gear and a vehicle speed of at least 80km/h.  Release the accelerator pedal and coast; bringing the vehicle to a stop with a minimum of 60 seconds elapsed during deceleration.  Repeat this procedure 10 times.

4.) Check results.
